You May Want To Know:

8 out of 10 dancing schools or tutoring centers in America were started by people without any previous or adequate teaching or dance training. They simply decided to hang out a shingle and teach. No license or examination is necessary. Anyone without teaching knowledge or training can profess to teach. At A+ Educational Centers, we are proud to offer over 25 years of experience in the educational arena offering both qualified programs and superior staff to help you excel. We look forward to having you experience a Quality A+ Renaissance Educational Experience.

How We Teach Our Students

We teach on a scholastic basis -- the level and degree of proficiency in academics, music, art, and dancing achieved are based on each student's individual goals. Whether you are interested in simply learning a new skill such as playing the piano, learning to Waltz, conquering your math phobia, or you are a true competitor and want to perfect your skills to compete at the highest level, we are ready to help you reach your goals.

All of our courses are designed for people desiring instruction at an “introductory” level or at a “competitive” level. An “introductory” program in dance may be one of “social dance.” We utilize the proven style of teaching which enables students to learn the skills needed for dancing (not just steps) in the most efficient way possible. Our goal is to help you get out on the floor dancing as soon as possible. Competitive Dancing requires more attention to Syllabus Training which our expert teachers will guide you through.

Once individual goals are set for each person, a detailed program is prescribed to meet these goals. Then, through a system called the Medalist System which is used worldwide, proficiency is tracked and merit is rewarded. In dance, for example, instruction progresses through: Student Introductory & Variety Programs, and Associate or Full Programs in Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold Bar and Gold Star Standards. In Music, Medals aim to encourage pupils to acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding to perform music – both within an ensemble and individually – with an appropriate control of sounds and with a sense of interpretation that enables the intentions of the composer to be communicated. In Math and Language, we partner with the Center for Talented Youth and our students go on to show their strengths to be judged by some of the most competitive universities in the nation. In Music and Vocal training we utilize the Certificate of Merit Program which is an excellent way to help you attain advance levels of your craft. Whatever your goals and ambitions are, we are well suited to help you meet them.

Our Instructors

Our instructors are carefully selected and trained to bring you the finest in instruction available. Working together they help you reach any goal through individualized teaching utilizing the latest research available. Most of our instructions have attained a minimum of BS/BA degree and many have their teaching credentials and advance degrees and certifications.

Private Lessons

During your private lessons, you will receive personalized instruction that will help you achieve your individualized goals. Your instructor will spend the time necessary to help you excel. An up-to-date record of everything you have learned will also be kept as part of your instruction.

Group Classes

Group Classes are an important addendum to your private instruction. In dance, for example, group instruction gives you the opportunity to dance with a variety of partners, develop good dance habits, and meet other students in the studio. In Group Classes we emphasize technique, style, and variation of patterns. You may be taught materials that your regular instructor hasn't introduced to you yet. Additionally, material that hasn't been introduced will be reviewed and practiced for improvement.

Practice Parties (Dance)

We hold scheduled dance parties (practice sessions) for all our students. These practice parties are held on a weekly basis. You will have fun dancing with the instructors and students in a relaxed and comfortable environment. This gives you the opportunity to practice and try out all the new dance skills that you've learned in your Private and Group Lessons.

Showcases and Competitions

Showcases and Competitions are one-day events where students present dance routines, musical compositions, art exhibitions, vocal and band performances, and math/science Olympiads. These events are judged by professional judges who are experts in their fields and are accredited to awards Medals and/or Honors accordingly.

Medal Ball

Medal Ball is a gala dance event honoring students who graduate from one level of their dance or music program to the next. It is a celebration of student achievement and is open to students and their families to enjoy their accomplishments in a fun and elegant setting. It is also an opportunity to raise funds for the “Education Renaissance Foundation” whose mission it is to provide scholarships for those students not able to afford the instruction offered at the Renaissance Center. It is a fun and worthwhile event for the entire family.
