MATH
- These 6-week courses offer students a skill-building
program of practice and learning in preparation for a successful year of
math. Weekly homework assignments will be given to assure the best results.
- * MATH WORKSHOPS (Grades 1-5) - Students finally learn
their Times Tables, master the four basic operations (+, - x, /), work on
decimals, fractions, & use hands-on manipulatives: Tangrams, Pattern
& Attribute Blocks, Math Tiles, Geo Boards, etc. Each student gets
his/her own folder, workbook, pencils, and a set of manipulatives to take
home and practice with.

- * READING READINESS & ENRICHMENT (Grades 1 - 3) These
workshops are for new or beginning readers who need to work on their basic
reading skills. Emphasis is placed on decoding knowledge through phonics
as well as whole word instruction. Fun reading activities make these

on color, line, composition, design, and rhythm as they relate to the

guided exercises, students will learn elements of good design including
line, shape, texture and value. Using the dry media tools such as pencils,
crayons, pastels, felt or brush pens, students develop the skills necessary
